What do you need to know about the After School Program?

The After School Program available at Champion Sport Karate has been a Papillion gem since 2002. We will pick your student up from school each day. They will transport to our facility where the fun begins upon arrival. Our vehicles and drivers are fully insured.

Who is the After School Program for?

This program is for student customers who have some interest in the benefits of Martial Arts training. It is a superior choice to “Kids’ Clubs,” daycares, etc. We offer professional enrichment programming and instruction. Children are tasked with using proper communication skills and courtesy toward adults and their fellow students. They wear uniforms during class time. And they get lots of exercise!

What happens during the After School Program?

A typical session after school starts with snacks and social time.  Please send a snack with your child daily.  Try to avoid products with nuts, yogurt tubes, and fruit cups with the pull tops. Kids get to chat and hang out until training time at 4:00 pm. We hold the students responsible for watching the clock and knowing that they need to be geared up and in their places by the start time. The daily class includes warm-up and stretching as well as the training they require to eventually advance to Black Belt. Daily sessions also include sparring and weapons training.  No experience is necessary! All that is needed is some desire to improve one’s fitness and some skills along the way. We take care of the rest.

Students are finished with their “work” before 5:00 pm. Although they no longer need the degree of punctuality they did at the start, typically your student will be geared down and prepared to leave by 5:00 pm. Many parents prefer to use our stipulated pick-up time of 5:30 pm as the Jumpin’ Jax Bounce Houses are open for them to play and enjoy. Some kids prefer to study instead or practice their Martial Arts techniques.

After School Program students tend to advance faster than those who attend just a couple of nights per week. These go-getters are here each day. Usually, they are home by 5:30 when there is still daylight and time to enjoy family and dinner. The cost of this program is $380 per student per month.  Any missed classes can be made up with our evening schedule. Although priced a little higher than Papillion-LaVista’s Kids’ Club, it is comparatively inexpensive for the benefits you receive.
